Venue Diary : Weddings In Watamu

Hey Loves,

Welcome to Watamu Kenya! A little piece of heaven hidden north of Mombasa and south of Malindi. Exotic is an understatement. The serenity that this place offers and the feel of the magical beaches which change of color or texture with every tide leaves one wanting. This is the perfect place to have a beach wedding any day.

I visited Watamu last week and I was completely blown away. The town is a hidden GEM waiting to be discovered. It has by far the best destination wedding venues  you can ever dream of getting married at. The background is pure mother nature, no need to add any touch ups!

I happened to visit a few resorts and villas that offer wedding venues and I must share with you guys the magic waiting to happen.

Kenya blooms with beautiful flowers – roses, frangipani, bougainvillea, lilies, agapanthas; your wedding day will be filled with the color of export-quality flowers at local prices. There’s plenty of space to accommodate your guests and the bride and her bridesmaids can relax in the spa while we administrate the finishing touches to the big day. The ceremony could be conducted in the shade of a whispering palm tree in our exotic gardens, or barefoot on the beach. Let us take care of everything from the cake to the name cards on the table. The local choir, vibrant and rhythmic, will sing you into matrimony before the Arabic dhow sails in to bear you off into the sunset, sipping champagne and toasting your new life together.

Tree house is situated on one of the most picturesque stretches of Watamu beach. Ideally located right opposite the Coral Gardens of the Marine Park, there are no large hotels nearby – only private residences. Built high in the trees, its unique architecture affords a 360 degree panorama of the Indian Ocean coastline on one side and native forest on the other.

You can book a room or two in Tree house bed+breakfast, half board or full board, or if you are a larger group you can rent a whole tower or the whole house on a self-catering (or catered) basis, or come for a retreat. Either way, you will be well taken care of by the friendly, professional and experienced cook and domestic staff.
